We Be Now

Privacy Policy

Effective June 2, 2026 · Last updated August 6, 2026

The short version: Your treatment data, journal entries, intentions, and mood logs belong to you. We don't sell anything to advertisers, we don't run third-party analytics on your private content, and we don't share your data with your clinic without your explicit consent. You can export everything or delete everything any time.

1. Who we are

We Be Now (the "App") is an independent companion app for people undergoing ketamine and Spravato treatment. It is operated by Katie Dickieson ("we," "us," "our"). You can reach us any time at hello@katiedickieson.com.

2. What we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, the name you provide, and a hashed password. If you sign in with a clinic code, we also associate your account with that clinic.

Treatment data you log

The App lets you log sessions (treatment type, dosage, date), pre-session intentions, mood and anxiety scores, post-session reflections, mood check-ins, manifestation goals, and audio listening history. This information is stored under your account.

Journal entries

Anything you write in the Journal is private to you. Journal content is never visible to your clinic, even if you signed up through one.

Audio listening

We track which tracks you play and your favorites so the App can show you "recently played" and surface what's working for you.

Mental-health assessments (optional)

The App includes optional standardized questionnaires, the PHQ-9 (depression) and GAD-7 (anxiety), that you can choose to complete to track how you are feeling over time. Completing them is entirely optional. Your individual answers and scores are private to your account and are shown only to you. We store your responses as raw scores, we do not interpret them or use them to diagnose you, and you can delete them at any time.

Technical information

To make the App function, we collect minimal technical information including your device type, operating system version, and crash logs. This information is used only to keep the App running and is never linked to advertising profiles.

3. What we DON'T collect

4. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

5. How we store and protect your data

Your data is stored on Supabase, a managed Postgres database service. Connections are encrypted in transit (TLS). Passwords are hashed using industry-standard methods and are never stored in plain text. Database access is restricted by row-level security policies, meaning your account can only read and write its own rows.

Audio files are served from private storage with signed URLs that expire.

6. Clinic reporting and the research opt-in

If you signed up through a partner clinic, the clinic never sees your identity or anything you write. Clinics never see:

By default, your clinic sees only aggregated, de-identified engagement counts (for example, "of 50 patients with codes, 38 are active this month"), with no way to identify you.

The research opt-in (off by default)

In Profile, you can choose to turn on research data sharing. It is off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it back off at any time. When it is on, your PHQ-9 and GAD-7 results and your session engagement are added to your clinic's cohort averages, so the clinic can see how its patients are doing as a group. Even then, the clinic only sees de-identified aggregates for the whole opted-in group (for example, average starting score, average change, and percent improved), never your individual numbers and never your name. To protect against re-identification, a cohort report is shown only once at least five patients have opted in; below that it is withheld entirely.

This is not a research study. If that ever changes, we would ask you separately, with its own consent.

7. Your rights: exercise any of these any time

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please email us and we will delete it.

9. Medical disclaimer

We Be Now is a wellness companion app. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and does not replace consultation with your treatment provider. Always follow your clinician's guidance.

10. Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we collect or use your data, we'll notify you in-app and via email before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy will always reflect the most recent revision.
